Seaford Wetlands Fun Run takes place Sunday 29th November 2020.
In anticipation of Covid restrictions being reduced, we invite you to join our Fun Run. Our fall back will be that you can do a virtual run, but we look forward to seeing the community together enjoying a day out.
ENTRY BY DONATION
To help our community get back to enjoying the outdoors, getting fit and doing something together – we are offering this years fun run based on your chosen donation.
We are well aware that some people have done it tough, some have had little financial hardship and some actually improved their income – so you know your circumstance – please donate what you think you can.
To help our sponsors, we are doing the same, if they have done it tough, they donate as little as they can afford.
All the income from this event will still go back to support much needed programs in our community.
The Fun Run is run by volunteers with funds raised going back into the community.
2Km Childrens Run, 5 & 10Km Run, 5Km Walk. Family prices available.
We have now introduced a TEAM award – based on the number of Km your whole team contributes so even those doing the 2Km will add to your score.
Our 80+ wonderful volunteers get started nice and early to be ready to make it great day for our participants, with our variety of food and interest stalls adding to a fun day.
The 2km competitors enjoy a warm up before setting off. Next is the warm up for the 5km and 10km runners. Each participant receives a medal that was specially designed by a student at Seaford North Primary School.
The logo on our tops was also created by a student competition at the Primary School, something we do each year.
The track is flat and sealed so weather should not cause an issue, so far we have experience very nice sunny mornings. To see the full list of race results, click here (thanks to Tomato Timing).
This annual event has been a huge success, but most importantly, a great fundraising result for Kindred Clubhouse, with contributions to Seaford Little Athletics Club, Seaford North Primary, Frankston SES and a range of others in need.
We know there are things we can do even better than the last, so please feel free to send through your feedback (good and bad) to firstname.lastname@example.org. We appreciate your comments.
